Bob Warnicke Scholarship Race - Tuesday Sept 4th

The Warnicke Scholarship Race was created to help fund The Bob Warnicke Memorial Scholarship Fund which assists students and their families in meeting the costs of undergraduate college education, trade school, etc. USA BMX/BMX Canada members who have a current USA BMX/BMX Canada membership or Track Operators / Officials who participate in BMX racing events sanctioned by USA BMX/BMX Canada are eligible to apply.

Race Fee is $10, half of which goes to the Scholarship Fund.

USA BMX / BMX Canada awarded $53,500 in Bob Warnicke scholarships in 2017.

Funds are raised through a series of memorial races, the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and private donors. Since 2013, USA BMX has proudly awarded more than $250,000 to hand-picked recipients.

Come and race to support this great cause!

Grand Nationals Ferry Vouchers

The club applied for ferry vouchers for last weekend's Provincial Finals and although we did get vouchers for the riders travel on the ferry we did not get what we have received in the past.

Traditionally we received round trip vouchers for riders passage on the ferry for Provincial Finals and National Grands.  This year due to demand we only received one way tickets for our riders.

We will be putting in a request for our club to receive vouchers for the National Grands in Chilliwack which are being held this October 5-6-7.  There is no guarantee that we will be approved or whether we get what we will be applying for.  We are working on the concept of anything we receive will offset the cost of the trip.

The application has to be in well in advance of the actual event so if you are going we require the name and age of RIDERS ONLY that will be riding in the event.

Please have this information in to Carol Sykes NO LATER than Sept 12th. Any requests received after the 12th can NOT be processed.

"Garden for the Gate" Fundraiser

The Victoria BMX “Garden for the Gate” Fundraiser has started and runs through October 1, 2018. Victoria BMX receives 50% of every order!

If you want to order from Vesey’s Bulbs fall fundraising catalog, send us a message any time during those dates and drop off a cheque or cash payment to the motoshed.

Victoria BMX is not asking members to fundraise, but if you would like to circulate a catalog among friends, family and coworkers, we have several fundraising sets to give out. You are also welcome to share with friends.

Please note: orders are sent to Vesey’s at the end of the fundraising period and Vesey’s will ship after that date. This means you will receive your order in October, which is the right planting time for fall bulbs.
