WEDNESDAY APRIL 5th, 6:30 - 8:30pm General Meeting,
JDF lower clubhouse
SUNDAY APRIL 9th, 2 - 3pm First race of the season
& Bake Sale

Come along on Saturday April 1st 2-4pm and register for the new season. You can get your bike checked out to make sure it is ready to ride and ask any questions regarding bike sizing etc.  We will also be running through some new rider info and encourage you to bring along any items including bikes, parts, clothing etc. you have for sale to take part in our swap meet that day too. NO BIKES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK TO PRESERVE TRACK CONDITIONS.

The first race of the season will take place on Sunday April 9th (track conditions and weather depending). Registration will be 2-3pm with racing ASAP after 3pm. We will also be holding a Bake Sale that day to raise funds for "Remembering Evelyn" fund.  Please contact Tara if you would like to donate baked goods to the sale.

If you have any old trophies to donate, please bring them along on any of the above dates.

We need a plumber!!

We are in need of plumbing help for our water lines on the track. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate some time and expertise, please get in touch.

 

*NEW* Monday night training sessions

We are very excited to announce new bi-weekly training sessions with Mischa Partridge and Brandon Reid.  

These will begin the first week the club is open - stay tuned for confirmation of the first date. Times will be 5:30-7:30pm as follows:

  • Two 1hr sessions 
  • Advanced: Inter 12yrs+ & Expert @ 5:30 PM
  • Beginner: Novice & Inter <12yrs @ 6:30 PM
  • $8 per rider

Mischa Partridge

  • Home town Duncan, BC
  • National BMX team member: 2010-2014
  • BMX Canada #1 Pro: 2014
  • National Track Sprint team member: 2014-2015
  • Current Cycling BC BMX Development coach.
  • NCCP certified BMX coach.

I started coaching in 2007 helping out with local training camps. Since then I have coached BMX at a club level, with the provincial development team, and the provincial high performance team. I have also had the opportunity to teach cycling at elementary schools, and to coach at events such as the BC summer games and USA BMX nationals.

Brandon Reid

  • National team member: 2013-2016
  • Canada cup #1 elite in 2015
  • Been racing for 17 years

Have had the pleasure of coaching with some of the biggest names in BMX, (Mike Redman, Richie Anderson, Ken Cools, Mischa Partridge) and looking forward to passing the knowledge I have on to the up and comers.
