Coaching and Clinics
NSBMX provides Club Coaching for all levels of riders.
We are excited to announce that our very own Andrew and Mark Shields are the NSBMX Club Coaches again this year! Andrew and Mark have been riding with the club for the last four years and look forward to sharing their passion, skills and guidance with the community.
Club Coaching is open to all NSBMX full track racers. We have designated time on the track for different levels of skill, each session will cover aspects related to starting gate, corners, pumping, learning to manual then on to jumping for fun and jumping for speed:
Intro to BMX and Novice riders on Fridays - 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Intermediate and Expert on Fridays - 6:30pm - 7:30pm
**Intro and Novice coaching is free of charge!
**Intermediate and Expert coaching is $5.00 per session.
**There is no pre-registration required but please check in at the Regstration before the coaching starts. Show-up with your bike, full-face helmet, gloves, long sleeve shirt and long pants. Short sleeve shirt and/or shorts are only permitted with elbow, knee and shin pads.

Andrew has been involved in the the BMX community and racing for the past 4 years; during that time he has raced in the Canadian National Series and was one of our club coaches last year.
Currently a 17 Expert rider.
Achieved the BC2 plate in 2016 and a coveted CNAG 6 plate in 2015.
Andrew is looking forward to passing on his knowledge to the younger riders just as others have supported him in his racing career.
Mark has been a part of the BMX community for the last 4 years; he has focused primarily on the Canadian National Series and was one of our club coaches last year.
Currently a 15 Expert rider.
Mark has qualified for multiple National mains and earned the BC7 plate 2016.
He is looking forward to passing on all of his racing knowledge to the next generation of up and coming BMX racers.
