2023 STOUFFVILLE BMX Riding Programs
RIDE AND LEARN BMX Program
The RIDE AND LEARN program is an introductory course designed for 1st and 2nd year riders ages 10 and under who are new to Biking. Riders must be able to stand and pedal and apply brakes. The program focusses on BMX FUNdamentals including turning, braking, pumping, wheel lifts, gate starts and basic tactics for the sport of BMX. The program is taught by trained and certified NCCP level BMX coaches.
The focus of this program is the ABCF’s of BMX: Attention, Balance, Control and FUN!
DEVELOPING BMX Program
The Developing BMX Program is designed or Intermediate riders. The program will also work on tactics and strategies for BMX racing. The program is taught by trained and certified NCCP level BMX coaches.
Riders in this program will be focussed on improvement of skills, and racing local and provincial events.
R.A.D – RIDER ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT Program
The R.A.D BMX Program is designed for Expert riders of all ages. The program will focus on skills and tactics of BMX racing including gate start and sprint work, technical skills like pulls, manuals, double manuals, jumping, pumping and an increased focus on tactical training.
Coaches will also work on fitness drills with the athletes, within structured sessions.
R.A.D riders will be competing at the Provincial and National level. Riders will receive a custom R.A.D program shirt.
The program will offer different sessions throughout the season with a focus on specific areas based on the time of the season and race schedule.
