ATTENTION: RACE NIGHT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
As we begin a new season at SBMX, we are putting out the call for volunteers to support our local Wednesday night races. Now is a great time to hop on board to lend a hand and have a lot of fun in the process!
We are looking to get volunteers in the areas of SCORING, STAGING, AND CORNER MARSHALLS. Guidance and training provided!

SCORING: Record the riders final position on the moto sheets provided as riders cross the finish line. We prefer at least 2 scorers per local race. Coordinates lining up of Striders for their race as well.

STAGING: Calls out the riders name, and lane number from the motosheets as they go up to race and verifies all riders are where they should be. Keeps the flow and pace of the race in coordination with the gate starter. We usually have Stager 1 at the bottom area by pylon staging lanes and Stager 2 at the top by the gate assisting riders.

CORNER MARSHALL: Usually one corner marshall on each turn to watch for downed riders, making sure they are ok should a fall occur (without moving them), summoning first aid if required. If a race/rules infraction should occur, you may be called upon to clarify what you saw. The best seat in the house to take in all the action! Corner marshalls are needed during pre-race practice and during the race.
