There have been many phone calls and emails about riders ranked No.11 -thru - No.20 NAG Boys/Men category, and whether those riders would (or would not) be removed from the District Points rankings. The 2013 USA BMX Rulebook states “Any rider earning a USA National Age Group (NAG) ranking will be ineligible for district year-end awards (Canadian NAG series is exempt). Any subsequent rider in the district points standings will move up in the district year-end point standing to fill the open positions”. As stated, and as indicated with an asterisk in points posted both the online and PULL Magazine, NAG riders who earned a No.11 -thru - No.20 ranking WILL be removed for the final District standings.
Both NAG and National number plates will be presented Saturday, January 11th in Reno, NV - during practice at the Silver Dollar Nationals. In addition to the coveted grey-background of a NAG plate, riders No.1 -thru- 10 will be receiving Top Ten jackets provided by Hot Shoppe, while riders No.11 -thru- 20 in the Boys/Men category will receive a PROMAX Gear Bag.
We are terribly sorry for any miscommunication from our team and apologize for any confusion in the clarification of the rule. We were thrilled to expand the NAG ranking to the top 20 in the Boys/Men category and excited to offer more to the riders.
