BON JOUR, FRANCE
In the end, Team USA scored a total of 13 medals - with seven of them in the color of Gold (tied with the Dutch for secon-most wins). Home country France, with duoble the number of riders under their 25 pit tents, did as expected with 42 podium finishes - yet only one more win than the USA and Netherlands.
Overall, American riders did good and every attendee got to experience what racing it like in a foreign country. Competition was tough, and our U.S. riders all performed at their peak levels, against the fastest and toughest riders on this globe.
Everybody left France already excited for 2023's UCI Worlds; which will - for the first time ever, be a "Super Worlds" where ALL of the cycling disciplines will compete at the same place, at the same time, over 11-days. Mark your calenders for August 3 thru 13, and start saving right now to get a ticket to Glasgow, Scotland to see 190 rainbow-striped World Champ jerseys get handed out in seven different cycling disciplines (mountain, road, track, trials, freestyle and - of course, our favorite - BMX Racing!).
Next year's Worlds will be ONE you won't want to miss!
** ...and don't forget, in 2024, the World Champs returns to U.S. soil, as Rock Hill BMX will host their second UCI Worlds.
