Tulsa, Home to USA BMX Headquarters, Welcomes Back Elite Racing for Legacy Nationals and Third Stop on USA BMX Pro Series
Set for May 1-3 at Hardesty National BMX Stadium, the event brings together top U.S. and international riders for the third stop of the USA BMX Pro Series, racing from the sport’s national headquarters in Tulsa.
TULSA, Okla. (April 30, 2026)—The 2026 USA BMX National Series returns home to Tulsa, Oklahoma, May 1-3 as the Legacy Nationals take over Hardesty National BMX Stadium, the sport’s global headquarters. Also hosting the USA BMX Pro Series, the event brings together top professional and amateur riders from across the United States and around the world for a weekend of nonstop competition on the stadium’s signature dual-hill track. “Legacy” speaks to more than a name, it reflects the riders, moments and milestones that built BMX into what it is today, now showcased where much of that history was made. Set inside a state-of-the-art facility built for racing at every level, the Legacy Nationals delivers a premier showcase of elite BMX – and a return to the place where the sport’s past, present and future meet.
The Legacy Nationals mark the 12th stop of the 2026 USA BMX National Series and stop three of the 2026 USA BMX Pro Series. The three-day BMX competition will be held at Hardesty National BMX Stadium at 490 N Lansing Avenue in Tulsa. Races begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
“Tulsa is a BMX town and racers and families alike know that to compete against the best, you need to come to Tulsa,” said Jason Suitt, Senior Director of Sports Sales, Tulsa Sports Commission. “Legacy Nationals always delivers thrilling, top-tier competition, and 2026 will be no different as Tulsa continues to grow and thrive as a premier destination for high-quality sporting events of all kinds.”
The Legacy Nationals offer more than just national-level professional and amateur competition. On Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, the Legacy Nationals event will host the USA BMX Pro Series, the third stop of the 2026 pro season. The Pro Series draws the nation’s top professional BMX racers, battling for critical points in the season-long championship race. With elite talent, fast laps and little room for error, the Pro Series brings a sharper edge and heightened intensity to an already electric weekend.
The event also serves as a UCI C1 (Class 1) sanctioned event, which means riders can collect points for international rankings that will help dictate each country’s World Championship seedings and future Olympic qualifications. With divisions spanning from Juniors and Under-23s up to the Elites, the Legacy Nationals serves as the ultimate proving ground.
“Hosting the Legacy Nationals in Tulsa carries a different weight for us,” said Jacob Nelson, Track Operator at Hardesty National BMX Stadium. “This isn’t just another stop on the calendar, it’s where the sport lives year-round, where riders can feel the history in the venue and see how far BMX has come, all while pushing what’s possible on the track today.”
The full Legacy Nationals event schedule can be viewed here. At Hardesty National BMX Stadium, riders and spectators can experience Olympic-caliber racing and high-speed action on the sport’s legendary dual-hill track. Located on-site, the National BMX Hall of Fame & Museum offers a look at the bikes, riders and moments that shaped BMX history. Step outside beyond the track, and Tulsa delivers a buzzing arts scene and green spaces like Gathering Place and Guthrie Green, plenty to dig into when the racing pauses.

About USA BMX
Established as the American Bicycle Association in 1977 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ABA is the nation’s largest cycling organization with more than 70,000 members with combined racing and freestyle events at more than 300 sanctioned BMX tracks across the United States and Canada. ABA empowers and elevates the early stages of bicycle development by creating opportunities through facility development, programs, and national events. As a result, ABA has developed a structured blueprint. A cyclist can progress from humble beginnings on a balance bike to becoming a BMX Olympian by establishing these roots.
Through STEAM, scholarships, freestyle amateur events, the national series, the Olympics and new facilities built across the United States, these four pillars under the USA BMX organization will impact young riders and families: USA BMX Foundation, USA BMX Freestyle, USA BMX Racing and ABA Ethos.
