PRESS RELEASE

USA BMX Brings Top-Tier Competition to Nashville with Music City Nationals, Pro Series Qualifier Event

Set for May 22-24 at Music City BMX Association, the event convenes top U.S. and international riders for the fourth stop of the USA BMX Pro Series and a UCI International Category Event.

TULSA, Okla. (May 18, 2026)—The 2026 USA BMX National Series returns to Nashville May 22-24, as the Music City Nationals take over Music City BMX. The city will set the backdrop for a weekend of focused, high-level racing as top professional and amateur riders from across the U.S. and around the world compete. With the USA BMX Pro Series also on the schedule where every lap carries added significance.

The Music City Nationals mark the 14th stop of the 2026 USA BMX National Series and stop three of the 2026 USA BMX Pro Series. The three-day BMX competition will be held at Music City BMX at 2901 Bell Road in Nashville. Races begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.

“Music City BMX has been making some exciting updates to get the track ready for Nationals,” said Larry Rabinowitz, president of Music City BMX Association. “Our track operator, Connor Buchanan, has been incredible at rallying our volunteers through the slurry process – it really takes a village to get everything looking its best for the riders coming to town. We’re proud of our track and the community behind it. Along with board members Kelly Stiver, Sara Weiland, Miah Faircloth and Connor, there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating a seamless experience. But more than anything, we’re looking forward to seeing the kids’ smiles over three great days of competition.”

The Music City Nationals offer more than just national-level professional and amateur competition. On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, the Music City Nationals event will host the USA BMX Pro Series, the fourth stop of the 2026 pro season. The Pro Series draws the nation’s top professional BMX racers, battling for critical points in the season-long championship race. With elite talent, fast laps and little room for error, the Pro Series brings a sharper edge and heightened intensity to an already electric weekend.

The event also serves as a UCI C2 (Class 2) sanctioned event, which means riders can collect points for international rankings that will help dictate each country’s World Championship seedings and future Olympic qualifications. With divisions spanning from Juniors and Under-23s up to the Elites, the Music City Nationals serves as the ultimate proving ground.

“We can’t wait to welcome the USA BMX Music City Nationals back as a great Memorial Day weekend tradition for Nashville,” said Deana Ivey, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “Events like this bring great energy to the spring season and give athletes and fans a chance to explore the city.”

Memorial day weekend in Nashville means live music, blooming parks and a city buzzing with energy. Visitors can explore iconic venues along Broadway, tour the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum or enjoy scenic walks through Centennial Park and along the Cumberland River. From festivals and concerts to food and nightlife, Nashville delivers a vibrant mix of entertainment, culture and charm.

About USA BMX

Established as the American Bicycle Association in 1977 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ABA is the nation’s largest cycling organization with more than 70,000 members with combined racing and freestyle events at more than 300 sanctioned BMX tracks across the United States and Canada. ABA empowers and elevates the early stages of bicycle development by creating opportunities through facility development, programs, and national events. As a result, ABA has developed a structured blueprint. A cyclist can progress from humble beginnings on a balance bike to becoming a BMX Olympian by establishing these roots.

Through STEAM, scholarships, freestyle amateur events, the national series, the Olympics and new facilities built across the United States, these four pillars under the USA BMX organization will impact young riders and families: USA BMX Foundation, USA BMX Freestyle, USA BMX Racing and ABA Ethos.
