Chesapeake BMX in Severn, MD to host 2020 East Coast Nationals

 USA BMX continues to get 'Back on Track' with the confirmation of more National Series Events on the 2020 calendar. The East Coast Nationals originally scheduled to be hosted at NOVA BMX in Woodbridge, VA will now take place at Chesapeake BMX in Severn, MD.  Chesapeake BMX has been a staple on the USA BMX national circuit and year after year continues to be a top track on the East Coast.  The USA BMX family will be treated to an outstanding track and a large open facility where social distancing can be maximized.

 

This event is being made possible because of the incredible efforts of Chesapeake BMX and the support of Maryland Sports Commission and Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County.  Terry Hasseltine, Executive Director of the Mary Sports Commission had this to say about the event,

 

"The Maryland Sports Commission is excited to partner with Visit Annapolis and Anne Arundel County and Chesapeake BMX to bring the 2020 USA BMX East Coast National to Maryland in August 2020.  We have forged a great relationship with USA BMX over the years and we are honored they looked to Maryland during these challenging times to step up and support their efforts to get these young riders back on the track."


Dani Bottcher, Acting Executive Director, of Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County noted, “Visit Annapolis is delighted that the 2020 BMX East Coast Nationals are returning to Anne Arundel County August 14-16, 2020.  We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Maryland Sports Commission, Chesapeake BMX and USA BMX.  We hope that the riders and spectators enjoy this trilling event!”

USA BMX anticipates more event announcements next week for additional races in August and is working tirelessly to confirm more events.

(Confirmed) Buckeye Nationals - Toledo, OH (July 24-26)

(Confirmed) Hub City Nationals - Aberdeen, SD (August 7-9)

(Confirmed) East Coast Nationals - Severn, MD (August 14-16)

(Confirmed) Music City Nationals - Nashville, TN (September 4-6)
