All sports organizations in Ontario are required to have their participants review and acknowledge concussion guidelines. At Nepean BMX we take concussions very seriously. If there are reasons to suspect a concussion for a rider, we will run through a quick checklist once they are off the track. If any concussion signs are there, riders will have to visit a doctor and get medical clearance to return to sport.
All riders will have to acknowledge that they have reviewed our concussion awareness information to participate in events at the track. Our concussion awareness sheet is available here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1cddfibpskwmaa8/Nepean%20BMX%20Pre%20Season%20Concussion%20Education%20Sheet.pdf?dl=0
Please take a few minutes to review the information, then sign the form and return to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, along with your BMX Canada membership #.
