  • First race of the season! Elio Marcantonio Founders Race: July 8th, 2021

Come out for our first race night of the season. Registration from 6:00-6:30 at the track, racing will start soon afterwards. This race is dedicated to Elio Marcantonio who started the dream of Nepean BMX and realized it with the first race back in 2013.  Elio spent countless hours working at the track and many more in the off season to create an amazing BMX community in Nepean.  Going forward, the first race of each year will be associated with Elio. Ride on!!! 👉🏼Make sure your...

  • Gate practice June 17th, 6:30pm

I hope everyone who participated in the gate night tonight had a good time. Because we sold out so quickly last night we are adding a second gate night date tomorrow. I'd ask anyone who signed up for tonight's gate practice to wait until noon tomorrow to sign up to allow those who missed out today a chance to get a practice in. Right now we have a 6:30-7:20 session scheduled, if those sell out quickly we will add a 7:30-8:20 session.   You can register here: https:/...

  • Gate practice June 16th, 6:30-8:30pm

We will run our first gate practice of the season tomorrow night. We will limit the practice to a maximum of eight riders to stay within the Stage 1 COVID restrictions, and we will only allow two riders, separated, to be in the gate at one time. Sign up for the practice is available here:

  • New Rider Intro to Racing and Skills Clinics Are Back!

Our coaches have worked hard and come up with a plan to offer socially distanced introductory clinics again this summer. Each clinic session will last 50 minutes and have a maximum count of eight participants, which will allow safe distancing between riders. We will offer sessions at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. The clinics focus on introducing riders to the sport. Participants should be comfortable riding a two wheel bike, and need their bike, a helmet, long sleeve shirt and long pants. Topi...

  • Racing cancelled October 10th, 2020

With the rise in COVID case counts in Ottawa, the province has imposed new restrictions in Ottawa, including limiting outdoor gatherings to 25 people. Since we need a number of volunteers to safely race, it would mean being able to run only a few motos per session maximum, which would make it impractical to run our race day.   This is sad news for all of us at Nepean BMX, who have enjoyed being able to run a few races in this crazy year.   We will issue refunds to everyo...

  • Warnicke Scholarship double point race

Sign up is now available for the Warnicke Scholarship double point race, part of the Eastern Ontario 700 point Thanksgiving weekend blowout.

  • Race for Life, Saturday October 3rd

Come join us for our annual Race for Life, supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Our tentative schedule is to shift back the racing by an hour to allow the track to warm and dry as we get later in the season, so the plan (which may have minor tweaks as we get to the final moto posting) is to have Novice motos practice at 9:30, race at 10:00am, Inter motos practice at 11:15am, race at 11:45am, Expert and Cruiser practice at 12:45pm, race at 1:15pm. Motos are here: https:/...

  • Initial motos posted for September 26th

Initial motos are posted for tomorrow's race: Please review for correctness and notify us of any issues by 6pm.

  • Final motos posted and IMPORTANT INFORMATION for September 19th race

We have received the go ahead from Ottawa Bylaw to conduct the race tomorrow, provided we adhere to the following:   (a) all racers must wear their gear and helmet during their races, (b) any racers not on the track and all spectators must wear a mask and physically distance from those not in their bubble (c) we limit spectators to only ONE non-racing spectator PER FAMILY.   We need everyone to do their part. If this does not happen, the track faces fines of $10...

  • Final sessions and motos are posted for tomorrows race

There were a few additions and deletions, and we lost a moto, so your moto and session may have changed from the earlier posting. We have 32 motos running tomorrow.   A reminder that we are running three groups tomorrow. Novice motos practice at 8:30, racing at 9am, Intermediate motos practice at 10:30, racing at 11 am, Expert/Cruiser motos practice at noon, racing at 12:30pm. I have split the moto sheet into the three sessions. A number of riders ended up in classes that ...
