COVID-19 Update from the Executives of the Cornwall BMX Club

We hope everyone is doing well in these unusual times and encourage everyone to observe and practice social distancing and personal protective techniques.  To help slow the spread of COVID-19 and help support our Public Health officials and front line workers, the City of Cornwall has joined the province of Ontario in declaring a State of Emergency. With this, all City operated facilities and all outdoor recreation amenities are CLOSED. This means the opening of the track and our racing season is delayed until further notice.

To ensure the safety of our riders and our BMX community, the following measures have been implemented by our Club's Executives:

  • The track is closed and off limits to the public and our members.
  • All race, practice, clinics and BMX ralated events are postponed until further notice.
  • The CBMXC Summer Camp featuring Ken Cools is scheduled for July.  We will keep you updated as conditions change.
  • We have temporarily suspended Jersey/Plate orders.

To our VOLUNTEERS, once the restrictions are lifted, we will need volunteers to help us in getting the track open as quickly as possible and to help with our events throughout the season. Please message us if you would like to be added to our volunteer list or sign up through our website..

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide more updates as they become available to us. In the meantime stay safe and keep your distance! We hope to see you all on the track very soon.
