Wow what an opener!
That was one amazing day. While we had a few challenges, a couple self inflicted, some beyond our control, it was an amazing day of BMX! First, hope Emily Petrehn is going to be ok. Latest word was broken collarbone and hip injury. Our volunteers were simply awesome all day. So many that stepped up to make the day happen, on Sunday and the COUNTLESS COUNTLESS hours we have put into the rebuild over the past 5 weeks. 2019 SEASON OPENER IS HERE!!!
The start of the 2019 season is here and we are so excited to share with everyone our newest creations! We have a totally new track layout designed and build by the PREMIER track builder in the world Tom Ritz. Not just the track but the starting hill to boot!! Registration and practice run special times for the season opener 11am-1pm with racing to start as soon as moto's are posted! Deep Run Pump Track Sponsorship Drive
As some may have heard recently, Richmond Parks and Rec are teaming up with RVA More to create a brand new pump track in Deep Run Park in the West End/Short Pump area. We are so excited for this that we are going to register as a sponsor of the project. The project has a tiered sponsorship program with Bronze ($1000) and Silver ($2500). The date has been set, the room booked, final points standings calculated and the 2018 Awards Banquet is just around the corner!! Saturday, January 19th from 12:30-4:00pm at the Rockville Center 16238 Pouncey Tract Road, Rockville, VA 23146. Same location for the fourth year in a row, and a perfect place for our banquet. What a way to end the 2018 season!! The 2018 6th Annual Luck Cup and Decades Shootout was a huge success. Nearly 150 riders and 38 motos of great racing to end the year, a classic bike shootout between Old School, Mid-School and New School bikes and the pot luck dinner made it one for the ages!
