TULSA, Okla. (March 3, 2026)—The 2026 BMX National Series arrives in Houston March 6-8, as the Lone Star Nationals take over H Town BMX Supercross Track at the Rockstar Energy Bike Park. With top riders from across the U.S. and around the world, the Lone Star Nationals serves as Stop No. 1 on the USA BMX Pro Series, delivering nonstop action and a premier showcase of elite BMX racing. The event also serves as a key qualifier for the 2026 Team USA World Championships.
The Lone Star Nationals mark the 6th stop of the 2026 USA BMX National Series and stop one of the 2026 USA BMX Pro Series. The three-day BMX competition will be held at H Town BMX Supercross Track at 12257 Kuykendahl Road in Houston. Races begin at 1 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
"Houston-Harris County has earned its global reputation by delivering major sporting events at the highest level and USA BMX is part of that legacy,” said Ryan Walsh, CEO of Harris County-Houston Sports Authority. “We’re proud to host the Lone Star Nationals and showcase the experience our region provides to athletes, fans, and partners. As we look toward 2028 and the UCI BMX Racing World Championships, this event is another reason Houston is a global destination for world-class competition."
The Lone Star Nationals offer more than just national-level professional and amateur competition. On Friday, March 6, the event will host the official qualifier for the 2026 UCI BMX World Championships in Brisbane, giving riders the opportunity to earn a spot on the Team USA Challenge Team and represent the United States internationally. The UCI C2 international race sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale offers Championship categories for Elite Men and Women, Under 23 Men and Women and Junior Men and Women. As the first UCI event of 2026, the Class 2 competition will award valuable international ranking points and mark the official start of the global calendar for many top riders.
Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, will host the USA BMX Pro Series, kicking off the 2026 pro season. The Pro Series draws the nation’s top professional BMX racers, competing for points toward the season-long championship.
“We are excited to host the Lone Star Nationals at our beautiful park complex and welcome visitors from all over the world to enjoy our extreme sports complex,” said Sally Bradford, executive director of the North Houston Development Corporation. “Bring your bike, your skateboard and your free spirit. Get ready to enjoy the racing, and most of all have fun!”
The North Houston Development Corporation developed and funded the bike park as part of a larger extreme sports complex, which also features a world-class skatepark. The bike park includes a USA BMX-sanctioned race track, pump tracks, street courses, a tot track, and bowls designed for freestyle riders. Plans are underway for a skatepark expansion, with additional enhancements for the bike park, including pump track upgrades and a new jump track.
The complex also encompasses Dylan Park, a space thoughtfully designed for children of all abilities. Visitors to Lone Star National are encouraged to explore all three parks and enjoy the 12 pieces of public art integrated throughout the park complex.

About USA BMX
Established as the American Bicycle Association in 1977 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ABA is the nation’s largest cycling organization with more than 70,000 members with combined racing and freestyle events at more than 300 sanctioned BMX tracks across the United States and Canada. ABA empowers and elevates the early stages of bicycle development by creating opportunities through facility development, programs, and national events. As a result, ABA has developed a structured blueprint. A cyclist can progress from humble beginnings on a balance bike to becoming a BMX Olympian by establishing these roots.
Through STEAM, scholarships, freestyle amateur events, the national series, the Olympics and new facilities built across the United States, these four pillars under the USA BMX organization will impact young riders and families: USA BMX Foundation, USA BMX Freestyle, USA BMX Racing and ABA Ethos.
