Top BMX riders return to Albuquerque as Duke City BMX hosts Stop No. 15 of the 2026 USA BMX National Series.
TULSA, Okla. (May 26, 2026)—The 2026 USA BMX National Series rolls into Albuquerque June 5-7 as the Spring Nationals take over Duke City BMX. Over three days of high-energy racing, Duke City BMX will welcome elite amateur riders from around the world, united by the shared drive, skill and spirit that define BMX competition at the national level.
The Spring Nationals mark stop no.15 of the 2026 USA BMX National Series. The three-day BMX competition will be held at Duke City BMX 1011 Buena Vista Dr SE in Albuquerque. Races begin at 1 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
“Each year leading up to the Spring National, Duke City BMX takes on new improvements to enhance our facility and elevate the event experience,” said Justin Hawkinson, track operator at Duke City BMX. “This season, we’re completing a wood dirt retention project in Turn 1 to allow for a smoother resurfacing of that section of the track. Volunteers are also installing a new wrought iron fence in the staging area to replace temporary fencing, while we finalize volunteer coordination and permits ahead of race week. We’re excited to welcome racers and families back to Duke City BMX and to showcase both our upgraded facility and the city of Albuquerque. It’s going to be fast racing and a great weekend for everyone!”
The USA BMX National Series is one of the premier competitive circuits in the sport, bringing together riders from across the country to compete for national rankings and championship points. Throughout the season, athletes of all ages and skill levels travel to events nationwide, each race serving as a key step toward earning a national title.
“Hosting events like the USA BMX Spring Nationals brings tremendous energy and economic impact to Albuquerque,” said Tania Armenta, President and CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “We’re proud to welcome athletes, families and fans from across the country while showcasing Albuquerque as a premier destination for sports events, outdoor adventure and unforgettable experiences.”

About USA BMX
Established as the American Bicycle Association in 1977 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ABA is the nation’s largest cycling organization with more than 70,000 members with combined racing and freestyle events at more than 300 sanctioned BMX tracks across the United States and Canada. ABA empowers and elevates the early stages of bicycle development by creating opportunities through facility development, programs, and national events. As a result, ABA has developed a structured blueprint. A cyclist can progress from humble beginnings on a balance bike to becoming a BMX Olympian by establishing these roots.
Through STEAM, scholarships, freestyle amateur events, the national series, the Olympics and new facilities built across the United States, these four pillars under the USA BMX organization will impact young riders and families: USA BMX Foundation, USA BMX Freestyle, USA BMX Racing and ABA Ethos.
