Danny raced balance bike last year at Durango BMX and got great experience racing heavy hitters in the balance class like Nora Waage and Jett Weinbarger. He didn't get district points as a balance biker, so he continues to use his assigned number 066 based on his membership ID. Since last year he was using his Route 66 number plates. It was also made national friendly with the leading "0". At the Phoenix Winter Nationals the announcer said "VonMoss HotWheels, trying to make something happen!" He's been struggling learn how to do gatestarts in the gate which is didn't do in 2019. Also, he turned 4 last November and most of the kids in his class at nationals that make the main are 5. At Phoenix after a crash his number plate was cracked into pieces, so I made him a HotWheels themed number plate with various HotWheels logos including Team HotWheels, the Origin of Awesome. He's getting valuable experience at nationals. At the Tulsa Sooner Nats he concluded, "I should have pedalled faster." He saw my trophies and wanted them, but started realizing that he had to transfer. We are living in Vaughn, NM, the Crossroads of New Mexico where sometimes he trains on the airport runway. He loves when the trains pass by and can tell which way the train is going.
