1) Learn to BMX (Max 30 Riders)*

SESSION 1:  3 week program Sunday May 15, 22, 29

SESSION 2:  3 week program Sunday June 5, 12, 19

TIME:  4:00PM – 5:15PM

COST:  $ 80.00   

The Learn to BMX Program is designed for 1st and 2nd year riders ages 10 and under who are new to BMX.  Riders must be able to stand and pedal and apply brakes. The program will focus on BMX FUNdamentals including turning, braking, pumping, wheel lifts, gate starts and basics in tactics for the sport of BMX.  The program is taught by trained and certified NCCP level BMX coaches.  A current BMX CANADA license is required to participate.  Bike/helmet rentals are limited and available first come/first serve at an additional cost on registration form.  Riders can use their own bike as long as they do not have a kickstand, chainguard or pegs.  Full face helmet is required.  Riders to wear long pants, long sleeves, closed toe shoes.

The focus of this program is the ABCF’s of BMX. Attention, Balance, Control and FUN!

2) Learn to Race (Max 25 Riders) 

SESSION 1:  3 week program Sunday May 15, 22, 29

SESSION 2:  3 week program Sunday June 5, 12, 19

TIME:  5:30PM – 6:45PM

COST:  $ 80.00   

The Learn to Race Program is designed for 3rd and 4th year riders aged 10 and under or riders 11 and over who are starting their second season. The program will focus on development of BMX skills including pumping, manualling, jumping, cornering and gate starts as well as tactics and strategies for BMX racing. The program is taught by trained and certified NCCP level BMX coaches. A current BMX Canada license is required to participate.

 

3) Performance BMX (Max 20 Riders) 

SESSION 1:  3 week program Sunday May 15, 22, 29

SESSION 2:  3 week program Sunday June 5, 12, 19

TIME:  6:45PM – 8:00PM

COST:  $ 80.00   

The Performance BMX Program is designed for Expert riders of all ages and Advanced Intermediate riders aged 10 and up. The program will focus on skills and tactics of BMX racing including gate start and sprint work, technical skills like pulls, manuals, double manuals, jumping, pumping and an increased focus on tactical training.  The program is taught by trained and certified NCCP level BMX coaches.  A current BMX Canada license is required to participate.
